Rocknoceros Groupies by Tech Savvy Mama

If Captain Computer and Little Miss Techie had their own iPods, the first thing they would request to add to their playlists would be anything by Rocknoceros. We were introduced to Rocknoceros last January during their performances at a local coffee house and became hooked. Ever since, we’ve been checking their online calendar and following them around the DC Metro Area like groupies.

You can rock out to Rocknoceros this Sunday at the Taste of Wheaton in Silver Spring. Their performance begins at 11 am. For more information about Taste of Wheaton, click here.

Why do we love Rocknoceros?

Captain Computer and Little Miss Techie rock out to Rocknoceros’ catchy tunes while I love that the songs help teach my kids something as they listen. With songs like I Wish We Used (the Metric System), United States of America, The Finger Counting Song, they are like the new and much cooler School House Rock for our kids’ generation.

We are huge fans of their songs about space from their second CD Dark Side of the Moon Bounce. Blast Off taught Captain Computer to count down from ten while Apollo and Pluto fill Little Miss Techie’s desire to learn about space. The Finger Counting song off of their self titled debut album inspired Little Miss Techie to learn Spanish.

You can listen to Rocknoceros’ songs for free on their website.

However, if your children are like mine and are instantly hooked on Rocknoceros, you'll need their songs to be portable. Download singles or the entire album on iTunes or get your own CDs of Dark Side of the Moon Bounce and their debut album through Amazon.

As good groupies, we buy all of our Rocknoceros music and fan paraphernalia to support great music. This is not a paid posts.
